Snatcher in Whats So Funny About
The Ghosted: 5 funniest moments of Snatcher
Ghosted returns after a midseason break to bring tons of laughs. They deliver in "Snatcher," where the crew hunts down a monster in the Gila Desert.
Max Jennifer (Adam Scott) and Leroy Wright (Craig Robinson) are a perfect duo. Between their scientific and police backgrounds, they're ideal for the supernatural team. Ghosted returns after a brief hiatus with one of the funniest episodes yet.
Aside from dealing with the strange, extraterrestrial and unexplained, the team has new personal challenges. How can Max hide his feelings, and how can their boss Ava (Ally Walker) keep her relationship alive? First things first, there's a mystery to solve.
What's the title of their current mission?
Since the monster they're about to hunt down snatches people out of trees, Annie (Amber Stevens West) thinks something related to the word snatch would be great. Hence the episode name. On second thought, however, she realizes "Snatch Monster" would cause awkward situations for the team. (Not to mention risky Google searches at work.) Nonetheless, the team needs to find this monster before it kills someone else and cleans a bone like it's enjoying a half-rack special at a local BBQ joint.

For obvious reasons she changes her mind and goes with the Gila Snatcher, because the large mammal/monster is in the Gila Desert and has been reported in trees. Of course, if it were reported in Mobile, there would have been a completely different name.
What could the monster be?
Rumor has it the monster snatches people out of the trees. Leroy suggests the monkeys from the Wizard of Oz are capable of such feats, and a running joke ensues throughout the episode. He goes so far as to say he's been witness to such things.
Max questions whether Leroy is being literal, because he's pretty sure the Oz monkeys aren't involved. Leroy subsequently deflects by pondering whether the witch forces the monkeys to dress up in the bellhop outfits. After Max confirms, Leroy calls her a "freaky witch."

Later in the episode when running from the monster, Leroy returns to his irrational Wizard of Oz fears and shrieks that they'll be snatched up "like an Oz monkey on Toto."
Barry the doctor plays psychiatrist.
Barry (Adeel Akhtar) walks into Ava's office because he perceives something is wrong. It shocks her, but his reason for intrusion is hysterical. Apparently Barry saw her in the meeting and thought she was distant. It could have been because there's a monster on the loose that kills and skins people like the Predator, but Barry thinks it's because she has man troubles.
Barry: "What's his name?"
Ava: RBF with no response
Barry: "What's his name?"
Ava: "Leave."
Barry: "Like Schreiber?"
Ava:
Batman
The back and forth between Max and Leroy is hilarious. Max describes the creature as a bat, but the size of a man. Leroy naturally says "So Batman?" Max replies that he didn't mean it that way, and that it's just a giant bat, and if he had to describe the size, it would be similar to a man. Leroy still says that's Batman.
Leroy: "You're describing Batman."
Max: "It's not Batman."
Someone has a crush.
Max tells Annie he likes her. After all, it's the entire reason he suggested she come on the mission. After running from the Gila Snatcher/Batman, Max musters up the guts to express his feelings. Meanwhile, a killer, 6-ft bat is flying around the cabin they're hiding in like a Reaper drone with blood lust.
Of course, the gravity of the situation is not lost on Leroy. He thought the "weight of fear and terror would outweigh the awkwardness," but he was wrong. It's super awkward. Almost as awkward as when Kanye and John Mayer high fived.
Adam Scott and Craig Robinson are a terrific comedic duo, and provide enough laughs to carry the show. With new personal developments, however, expect quite a bit more involvement from the rest of the talented crew in upcoming episodes.
