   Hi all,

   I've had this build for a few months now and everything has been working fine until a week or so ago my computer was no longer detecting that the Ethernet cord I had plugged in was there. Nil physically inverse from when I had last booted upwards and then I doubtable some kind of software result.

   I've already done a off-white bit of troubleshooting including trying different Ethernet cords no luck, and besides tried the cord I was using on another device which worked and was able to connect to the cyberspace merely fine, updating the network adapter drivers through the device manager, and updating my BIOS on my motherboard ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PLUS.

   After fiddling around a bit I noticed that when I first plug the Ethernet cord in the light will blink briefly before going out, and so turn back on a few seconds subsequently earlier turning off once more. This is mirrored in the network and cyberspace settings where an Ethernet connection will pop upward for a second every bit "Identifying" and and then disappear speedily after, and this repeats itself over and over.
   Further, I found that if I get into the backdrop of the network adapter through the device manager and change the "Speed & Duplex" to anything BUT Auto Negotiation or 1Gbps Total duplex I am able to get a stable connexion note that on other options such as 100 Mbps full duplex the connection volition identify then disconnect a couple times before stabilizing. However this limits my network speed pretty drastically so it is undesirable compared to the wifi dongle I'm now using instead.

   Some inquiry Ive washed suggests that this could exist an issue with registry keys or windows but I'm not really sure how to go about fixing that without a full reinstall. If anyone has whatever ideas on how I could go nigh fixing this I would profoundly appreciate information technology!

   windows 10 machine, up to date, wireless is fine, though ethernet says disconnected when it is connected, and every 25-30 seconds the ethernet connection flashes 'identifying' for 1 2nd then goes back to disconnected. it'due south a Dell Inspiron 24, with a Realtek PCIe GBE Family unit Controller installed, and drivers up to most up to engagement bachelor (June 2017). Windows 10 all upwardly to date. have tried the same ethernet connexion on some other machine and it is fine there. Something about this specific motorcar. wireless is ok so I can however post here thankfully!

   This is literally driving me to insanity.

   I'm just using the pc usually and i keep hearing the audio that yous hear when yous disconnect a usb device.

   It happens every few seconds. I opened upwards device manager, aught abnormal there, simply when ever i hear the disconnected device audio, the device manager refreshes the listing.

   I noticed also the job bar of open up windows flash when it happens. I dunno why this is happening, it is driving me insane. Please help i need solutions to this problem, i don't know where to beingness to solve this problem.
